Abstract

Objective:To investigate the protein expression of L-type calcium channel α_(1c) subunit in the animal model of atrial fibrillation of pulmonary vein source. Methods:After the animal models of atrial fibrillation of pulmonary vein source were set up, the rabbits were divided into different subgroups according to the lasting of atrial fibrillation or the time of pacing. The expressions of L-type calcium channel α_(1c) protein in pulmonary vein and atrial were measured by immunohistochemistry in three groups, which were atrial fibrillation of pulmonary vein source, pacing of pulmonary vein and control group respectively. Semi-quantitative analysis of α_(1c) protein expression was performed with pathological image analytic system. Results:Compared with control group, the protein expression of L-type calcium channel α_(1c) decreased significantly in group of atrial fibrillation of pulmonary vein source with the lasting of time. But the group of pacing of pulmonary vein remained stable. Conclusion:The change of protein expression of L-type calcium channel α_(1c) maybe participate in occurrence and maintain of atrial fibrillation of pulmonary vein source. That functional change of channel maybe one of mechanisms of atrial fibrillation of pulmonary vein source.
