Abstract

【Objective】To investigate the protein expression of L-type voltage dependent Calcium channel(LVD-CC) α1c subunit of pulmonary vein antrum in the animal model of atrial fibrillation with atrial rapid pacing.【Methods】Through setting up the animal model of atrial fibrillation in canines, the canines were divided into three groups which were atrial fibrillation, sinus rhythm and control group respectively according to occurrencing of atrial fibrillation. The expressions of LVDCC α1c protein in pulmonary vein antrum were measured by immunohistochemistry in three groups, semiquantitative analysis of α1c protein expression was performed with pathological image analytic system.【Results】Compared with control group, the protein expression of LVDCC α1c decreased significantly in group of atrial fibrillation, but the group of sinus rhythm had no change.【Conclusion】The changes of protein expression of LVDCC α1c may participate in atrial electrial remodeling and occurrence and maintain of atrial fibrillation. The changes of LVDCC maybe one of the causes of atrial fibrillation which was hard to spontaneous termination, also maybe one of mechanisms of the atrial fibrillation.
