Abstract

The existent shot-line concept was extended based on the visual C~(++) and Matlab codes.A computational method was developed by setting up the computational model of the damage field parameters, which consisting of the initial velocity, dispersion direction, velocity attenuation, and so on,for the preformed or half-preformed fragment warhead attacking the target, and the transformation of the fragment power parameters in the space coordinate. And a new computational method was achieved to predict the shot-line field distribution of the fragment warhead by using the combined program with visual C~(++) and MATLAB.A computational example was given by applying the achieved computational method to determine the shot-line field distribution of the fragment warhead under different explosion conditions attacking the plane target. The computational results described distinctly the damage field distribution of the warhead fragments to the plane and reflected visually the trajectories and energy attenuations of all the warhead fragments. The achieved computational method was validated by the comparison between the computational data with the known experimental results. This research can provide a new reference for the warhead design and terminal damage effect analysis.
