Abstract
In order to describe the whole process of fragment warhead attacking light armored target,a simulation system for fragment warhead attacking light armored target was established. In this system, dynamic fragment fields were formed based on LS-DYNA simulation results in which natural fragments were taken into account, and fragment trajectory were established by using the shot-line model. The effects of fragment impact on target were obtained by using the THOR model. This visual simulation system was compiled by Visual C++ and glut, and the 3D roaming scene was realized.Taking a prefabricated fragment warhead for an example, the result of simulation by this system was compared with that of experiment. The result shows that the amount of fragment impacting target obtained by simulation accords basically with that obtained by experiment, but there is a difference in the distribution. It can reduce the times and costs of experiment to apply the system to evaluate and design warhead.
