Abstract
The cable-stayed bridge of Sai Van Bridge in Macau is designed as a double-deck bridge with a main span 180 m, two pylons and four planes of cables. The bridge is a new type of structure composed of twin separated concrete box girders supported by the same four planes of sparse harp cables and M-shape pylons. In this paper, the design of the cable-stayed system, including the girders, pylons and stay cables, is highlighted, and the construction monitoring and load tests of the bridge are presented as well.
