Clinical observation of combination of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease with qi deficiency and stasis-phlegm type in stable phase

Objective To observe the effect of combination of supplementing qi and activating blood circulation,resolving phlegm and dredging collaterals prescription and Bailing capsule or Paecilomyces hepiall chen on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)with qi deficiency and stasis-phlegm type in stable phase.Methods 60 patients with COPD with qi deficiency and stasis-phlegm type in stable phase were randomly divided into two groups.Patients in control group(n=30)were treated by routine therapy.Patients in treatment group were treated by combination of supplementing qi and activating blood circulation,resolving phlegm and dredging collaterals prescription and Bailing capsule or Paecilomyces hepiall chen.The course was six months in two groups.The clinical effect,6MWD,FEV1/FVC,FEV 1% and life quality were measured after a course.Results There were significant differences between two groups on 6MWD,FEV1/FVC and life quality after treatment(P0.05,P0.01).Conclusion Combination of supplementing qi and activating blood circulation,resolving phlegm and dredging collaterals prescription and Bailing capsule or Paecilomyces hepiall chen has definite effect on COPD with qi deficiency and stasis-phlegm type in stable phase.
