Effects of Zuogui decoction on regulation of glucose-lipid metabolism and inflammatory cytokines in MKR mice

Objective To observe the effect of Zuogui decoction on the levels of blood glucose and lipid,CRP,IL-6 and TNF-α of serum in MKR mice.Methods 40 MKR mice were randomly divided into four groups.After gavage of Zuogui recipe 30 days,the levels of IL-6 and TNF-α were measured with double-antibody sandwich ELISA,the levels of CRP and lipids with automated analysis,and the blood glucose with electrochemical detection method.Results The effects of low-dose and high-dose of the decoction groups,and Avandia group were significant to lower blood glucose,compared with before administration in model group P 0.01;the effect in all treatment groups was similar(P0.05);the volume of TCHO,TG,HDL and LDL in all groups were no significant difference(P0.05);but the levels of CRP,IL-6 and TNF-α in the low-dose,high-dose and Avandia groups were lower than that in model group(P0.01,P0.05);otherwise,compared with the Avandia group,the levels of CRP,IL-6 and TNF-α in the low-dose and high-dose groups were no significant difference(P0.05).Conclu-sion Zuogui recipe is very effective to reduce blood glucose,and content of serum CRP,IL-6 and TNF-α,and improve the reaction of inflammation.
