Abstract
CO 2/O 2 coal combustion is one of promising new technologies to avoid the potential global warming In this study, systematical experiments on the release of NO X in three different coals under different conditions were carried out The coal was burned in a fixed bed tube furnace which was electrically heated at temperature range (700?℃~1?100?℃), air and nitrogen free mixture of O 2 CO 2 was used as oxidizing gases The results shows comparing with conventional air condition, the high CO 2 concentration significantly decreased NO X production during coal combustion at 700?℃ and 900?℃ due to effective reduction of CO in CO 2/O 2 mixer And then, in both atmospheres, the NO X production was affected markedly by temperature and coal type and Ca/S molar ratio
