Abstract
The NO_x emission characteristics during the pulverized coal combustion process were tested in the tube type resistance furnace under O_2/CO_2 and 02/N2 atmospheres. The effects of resistance time,fuel/oxygen stoichometric, temperature and oxygen concentration on NO_x emission were investigated. The NO_x emission characteristics under two atmospheres were compared. The results show that the released NO_x is much lower in O_2/CO_2 atmosphere than in air. With the residence increase,NO_x mission concentrations increase before 2 second, and then begin to decrease. With the excessive air ratio increase,NO_x mission concentrations increase in fuel rich region, and then appear to decrease in fuel lean region. With the increasing of combustion temperature,NO_x mission concentrations always increase. As the oxygen concentration increased,NO_x emissions concentration increase.
