Abstract

Objective To evaluate the value of 64-slice spiral computed tomography angiography(CTA)for the assessment of small coronary artery stenosis of coronary artery disease(CAD).Methods Both 64-slice spiral CTA and conventional coronary angiography(CAG) were performed in 80 patients who were suspected of having coronary artery disease. Results The sensitivity of 64-slice CT for detecting stenosis ≥50% and 50% were 75.0%,65.2%respectively.The specificity were 85.3%,84.9%respectively.The positive predictive value were 46.9%,46.4%respectively,and negative predictive value were 95.2%,92.4%respectively.Conclusion This study suggests that 64-slice spiral computed tomography may be used as a reliable diagnostic tool for small coronary artery stenosis.
