Discussion on the Secondary Development of Water Distribution Network GIS Prototype Software Based on ArcGIS Engine

Abstract

Being a new member of ArcGIS 9 series products, ArcGIS Engine is independent of the ArcGIS Desktop after secondary development, and may be a considerable choice in the development of the special GIS desktop application for the management and scheduling of water utility. The ways and procedures are presented on how to develop the special GIS desktop by using ArcGIS Engine in the platform of VC#.NET and the water distribution network GIS prototype is established.
