Abstract
This study introduced the three—dimensional GIS and ESRI's component GIS—the basic ideas and techniques of ArcGIS Engine. It used ArcGIS Engine as a development tool,Multipatch as the three-dimensional data model to explore the development approach of campus housing three-dimensional GIS systems in the Visual Basic development environment.Seted out about the 3D modeling, the system structure, system design and how to achieve the functions, and so on.This system solves the problem that traditional three-dimensional visualization software is difficult to model and storage the building sub-floor.It can model the building by floor height and the number of floors. It make full use of the professional spatial analysis function of ArcGIS products, including spatial location analysis and buffer analysis, which is the new breakthrough in the traditional real estate management.
