Correlation of adult lumbar lordosis and low back pain

Abstract

Objective To investigate the correlation between lumbar lordosis and low back pain.Methods 58 patients with low back pain and 35 asymptomatic people were studied by measuring lumbar lordosis on the lateral radiographs.Results Lumbar lordosis in the low back pain group was less than in the control group,and reached statistical significance.Conclusion Low back pain is correlated with the loss of lumbar lordosis.
