Abstract
Objective To detect Tiam1 and MMP-14 expression in cervical squamous cell carcinoma, cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and normal cervix, understand in the development of cervical squamous cell carcinoma,as well as the role of the invasion and metastasis. Methods Conventional paraffin sections of 10 normal cervical tissues,30 cervical intraepithelial neoplasias and 100 cervical squamous cell carcinoma, collected from hospital from June 2010 to June 2012,were detected by immunohistochemical method(IHC) to assess the expression of Tiam1 and MMP-14.SPSS18.0 package were used for all data analysis. Results Tiam1 expression in cervical squamous cell carcinoma was higher than in CIN and normal cervix(P0.01);Tiam1 expression was related to the degree of differentiation, deep myometrial invasion and lymph node metastasis(P0.05);MMP-14 expression in cervical squamous cell carcinomahigher B was higher than that of CIN and normal tissue, and expression in CIN B was higher than normal tissue(P0.05);MMP-14 expression B related to deep myometrial invasion and lymph node metastasis(P0.05);both The expression intensity in cervical squamous cell was positively correlated. Conclusion Tiam1 and MMP-14 may be involved in the malignant process of development of cervical squamous cell carcinoma and deep myometrial invasion and cervical lymph node metastasis. The two proteins may have a synergistic effect in the development and progression of cervical squamous cell carcinoma, the expression of positive cancer cells may have stronger potential invasion and metastasis.
