Analysis of the Relationship between Social Stratification and Higher Education

Abstract

The relationship between social stratification and higher education has always been a hot issue and the relationship be- tween higher education and social stratification includes two aspects. Firstly,it refers to the impact of social stratification on high- er education. Social stratification affects citizens' access to opportunities of receiving higher education as well as the process and results of higher education. Secondly,higher education contributes to social stratification and mobility,in which further affects a person's social status and accelerates social mobility.
