Abstract

Objective To analyze the clinical effect of small incision thoracotomy for lung cancer treatment. Methods A total of 100 cases of lung cancer admitted to the Baoding Second Hospital from Aug.to Oct.2012 were divided into two groups according to random-number table method:small incision thoracotomy group(50 cases) using a small incision thoracotomy for treatment, conventional thoracotomy group(50 cases)were treated with traditional thoracotomy, and the operative time, hospital stay, lymph node dissection, postoperative bleeding, postoperative drainage, postoperative pain and postoperative complications of the two groups were compared. Results Postoperative bleeding volume, drainage volume and time with tube of the small incision thoracotomy group were significantly less than the conventional thoracotomy group(P 0.05).24 h,48 h pain degree were both gradually reduced in small incision thoracotomy group and conventional thoracotomy group, the degree of pain of the small incision thoracotomy group was lighter with statistically significant difference(P 0.05).Complication incidence of small incision thoracotomy group was significantly lower than the conventional thoracotomy group(0% vs 20%)(P 0.05).Conclusion Small incision thoracotomy as treatment of lung cancer, not only retains the original surgery effect, but also reduces the amount of bleeding, drainage, the time with tube and complications, and thus has a positive clinical significance.
