Abstract

Objective To retrospective by analyze the relationship between patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)and red cell distribution width(RDW).Method Based on the results of coronary angiography,185 patients(male 112,female 73)were divided into CHD group(n=123)and control group(n=62).Based on the number of coronary lesions and Gensini score coronary heart diseases were divided into different subgroups;RDW results were detected in all patients to analyze the relationship of RDW with coronary heart disease. Results In CHD group RDW levels were significantly higher than those of the control group[(14.19±1.15)% vs(13.53±1.40)%,P0.005].With the increase in the number of coronary lesions,RDW level gradually increased.RDW was positively correlated with coronary Gensini scores. Conclusion Between CHD group and non-CAD group RDW has significant difference.RDW is positively correlated with the severity of coronary artery lesions. The high RDW is the possible predictive factor of coronary heart disease.
