Abstract

A sensitive colour reaction of Ga with DM\|PF and CTMAB was studied. The maximum absorption of the complex is at 568nm in the pH range of 7-9, and the apparent molar absorptivity is 2 33×10 5L·mol -1 ·cm -1 . Beers law is obeyed in the range of 0-10μg Ga/25mL. The method has been applied to the determination of Ga in ores with satisfactory results.
