On The Philosophy of Higher Education:Interpretation and re-interpretation

Abstract

There are the suspects of over-interpretation of Brubacher's On the Philosophy of Higher Education in China.The scientific and reasonable interpretation is needed to integrate the intention of the author,the text and the reader.On this basis,Brubacher's On The Philosophy Of Higher Education could be newly interpreted,and the significance of this work for China could also be more clearly understood.The research of the philosophy of higher education in China should get rid of the path-independence of Burbacher's theory,and meanwhile learn from Burbacher's wisdom to seek new research space for Chinese philosophy of higher education.
