Abstract

Tamsulosin is a new kind of α1A receptor specific antagonist, and its curative effect on benign prostatic hyperplasia( BPH) is definite with fewer adverse reactions and good compliance in patients,it is especially suitable for BPH patients above 70 years old and unable to endure operations. Here is to make a review of the curative effects of single or combined tamsulosin therapy for BPH complicated by various diseases, and the adverse reactions,in order to provide basis for the development of polycentric and large-scale evidence-based medicine in future and promote the application of tamsulosin in clinical.
