Abstract
The 8-year consecutive observation was conducted on the 100 families of 6 provenances of Eucalyptus grandis introduced in Yong'an Forest Farm in 1997.The result indicated that there were significant difference or great significant difference among different provenances and families in cold tolerance and growth increment. The 12 of excellent families were selected by the principle component integrated assessing sequence method.Their tree height,DBH,individual volume and average cold tolerant value were 15.7 m,17.3 cm,0.1752 m3 and 4.40,respectively,and their corresponding genetic gain were 18.2%,19.6%,61.7% and 18.4%,respectively.The 20 individuals were selected as the elite trees which tree height,DBH,individual volume and average cold tolerant value were 18.5 m、21.2 cm、0.2863 m3 and 4.85,respectively,and which corresponding genetic gain were 39.4%,46.3%,164.2% and 41.3%,respectively.
