Abstract

This paper deals with the correlation in the characters among provenances and families of E. grandis raised and planted in three locations, Hua'an County, Nan'an City and Yong'an City of Fujian Province. The results show that different provenances and families of E. grandis have highly significant correlations in height, DBH, volume and cold tolerance. And there are significant correlations in the growth characters among different years, too. At the same time, those characters of DBH, height, volume and freezing damage index of provenances have significant correlations with longitude of original regions. This indicates that longitude of original regions is the main leading factors affecting growth and cold tolerance. But there are no significant correlations among the three test locations.
