Abstract

Objective To discuss the significance of magnetic resonance angiography in the diagnosis of the extent of intracranial arteriosclerosis to the cerebral infarction patients. Methods 47 cases of cerebral infarction pitients were according to the area of infarction were divided into two groups, the greater than 1.5 cm2 group with 26 cases and less than 1.5 cm 2 with 21 cases, then the relationship between magnetic resonance angiography in the diagnosis and the extent of atherosclerosis and cerebral infarction infarction area were summarized. Results The proportion of mild atherosclerosis occured in patients with cerebral infarction area less than 1.5 cm2 was greater than the patients whose cerebral infarction area greater than 1.5 cm 2 (P 0.05), and the severe arteriosclerosis ratio was lower than the patients whose infarct size greater than 1.5 cm 2 (P 0.05), the proportion of normal blood vessels was higher than the patients whose infarct size greater than 1.5 cm 2 (P 0.05), the detection of occlusion ratio was lower than the patients whose infarct size greater than 1.5 cm 2 (P 0.05). Conclusion Magnetic resonance angiography can improve the patients' comfort, especially for the disturbance of consciousness and the frail elderly patients with poor respiratory function, through the checking of artery occlusion can reflect the degree of atherosclerosis,so it has important clinical application value.
