Abstract

Objective:To know the efficacy of BCDMH in killing microorganisms in water and the influencing factors.Methods:Suspension quantitative germicidal test in laboratory and natural water sample disinfection test were carried out.Results:The disinfectant containing available chlorine 1.0 mg/?L with a 3 min contact time had an efficacy of killing 100% of Escherichia coli in water suspension.The disinfectant containing available chlorine 15 mg/?L with a 7 min contact time could kill coli-group in natural well water to up-to-standard disinfection.The disinfectant containing available chlorine 1.2 mg/?L could kill the total-germ and coli-group in swimming water to up-to-standard disinfection and the residual chlorine was 0.5 mg/?L.The water temperature,pH value and color of organic had no influence on germicidal efficacy of water containing available chlorine 2 mg/?L.Conclusion:Results indicate that BCDMH has good efficacy in killing microorganisms in water.
