Study on Difference in Regional Economic Development of Shaanxi Province

In this paper,standard deviation,range,coefficient of variation were used as indicators to analyze the change of regional economic difference in Shaanxi Province in 1999-2008.Then the Theil index of Shaanxi internal difference and regional difference was adopted to investigate the inter regional difference among southern part,central part and northern part of the province,and the results show that it is shifting slowly,and the regional economic difference proves the main factor that made the whole difference.Then analysis is made of the factors that made the difference-natural resources,economic basis and industrial structure.At last,from the aspects of focusing emphasis on the central cities,taking advantages of natural resources,and readjusting industrial structure,countermeasures are proposed for promoting the coordinated development of regional economy of the three parts of Shaanxi.
