Abstract
[Objective] To determine the best extraction technology of carotenoids from orange peel by solvent method.[Method] The carotenoids were firstly extracted from orange peel, and then the effects of solvent types,solid-liquid ratio, extraction temperature and extraction time on the yield of carotenoids were studied by single factor test, finally the best extraction conditions were determined by orthogonal experiment.[Result] As concluded from single factor test, the yield of carotenoids was the highest with the solvent of acetone under the solid-liquid ratio of 1:15(g/ml) and the extraction temperature of 60 ℃ for 60 min.As concluded from the orthogonal experiment, the influential degree of each factor was in the order of extraction temperature solid-liquid ratio extraction time. The best extraction conditions were 60 ℃of extraction temperature,1∶20(g/ml) of solid-liquid ratio and 60 min of extraction time, under which the yield of carotenoids could reach up to 97.3 mg/kg.[Conclusion] The study provided references and basis for the comprehensive utilization of orange peel.
