Abstract

The method for the determination of selenium and other heavy metals, such as chromium, manganese, cobalt, nickel, cadmium, lead, arsenic, copper and zinc,in human urine was established by inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry(ICP-MS) with microwave digestion. The samples were prepared by microwave digestion with HNo_3-H_2O_2 digestion system, and the 10 kind of elements were directly determined by ICP-MS with indium and bismuth as internal standard substance. The detection limits of the 10 elements were in the range of 0.006—0.073μg/L,and the standard curve had the good linear relationship with correlation coefficient above 0.9999 and RSD less than 3%,and the measured value of urine standard substance were all in the standard reference ranges. The urine samples were analyzed by ICP-MS with microwave digestion, and the method is simple and fast with high sensitivity, low detection limit and good repeatability, that is an ideal method for analysis and detection of biological samples.
