Abstract
Objective To explore the effects of oxygen inhalation in prone position on oxygenation index in premature infants. Methods This study enrolled 60 premature infants with oxygen inhalation in prone position. The blood gas analysis was performed before and after the oxygen inhalation by STAT portable blood gas analyzer. The results were analyzed by multiple linear and one-way analyses of variance. Results The oxygenation index(OI)was positive correlated to the prone position(prone position can increase OI).There was statistical significance in OI between the both groups. Conclusions oxygen inhalation in prone position can improve the oxygenation index significantly in the premature infants.
