Abstract

Studies on growing characteristics of Populus albe × P.berolinensis Dipple Showed,that growth of the poplar exceeded the spreaded Local species Populus simonii × P.nigra by 73.4%～269.2% in Volume growth.Growth in local region exceeded some superior species in the Northeast and North of China.The growth regularity and proper planting density of Populus alba × P.berolinensis was also researched.5 growth stages were devided,that provided scientific basis for proper silviculture of the poplar.
