Research on the Determinants of Stay-in-Beijing Inclination of Floating Population

Abstract

Based on the 2006 household sample survey for the floating population in Beijing,this paper uses logistic regression analysis to analyze the factors influencing the stay-in-Beijing inclination of floating population.The findings show that both whether the floating population have a house or not in Beijing and the time of staying in Beijing has major impact on the stay-in-Beijing inclination of floating population,but whether the floating population have the spouse or not has no significant influence on the stay-in-Beijing inclination of floating population.It also indicates that the impact of the city adaptation to the wish to stay in Beijing is not significant.In particular,both the satisfaction of standard of living and conditions of social acceptance do not significantly influence the stay-in-Beijing inclination of floating Population.
