Abstract
Objective To explore the correlation between lymph node metastasis and expression of VEGF-C and its receptor(KDR)in colorectal carcinoma. Methods Retrospectively 74 specimen of colorectal carcinoma,36 of them were identified with lymph node metastasis and 38 of them without. The expression of VEGF-C and KDR was examined by immunohistochemistry in primary mass and metastatic lymph node. Results There was no statistical difference of VEGF-C expression between primary carcinoma and metastatic lymph nodes in metastasis cases(P0.05),while there was statistical difference in non-metastasis cases(P0.01).The similar results could be found in expression of KDR.Conclusion The increase of VEGF-C expression had closely relationship with genic mutation than micro-environment,the size of carcinoma and the density of carcinoma. The expression of VEGF-C and KDR were relatively with lymphatic metastasis in colorectal carcinoma.
