Determination and Significance of Plasma TNF_α and NO in Patients with Allergic Rhinitis

Abstract

Objective To study the level of serum TNF α and NO in patients with allergic rhinitis(AR) and to investigate its immunologic mechanism.Methods The concentration of serum TNF α and NO in 40 patients with AR and 30 normal volunteers were detected with ELISA method.Results The levels of serum TNF α and NO in AR group was significantly higher than that in normal control group(P0.01).And serum TNF α level positively correlated with serum NO level(r=0.63,P0.01).Conclusion There is relationship between the level of TNF α and NO in AR. It suggests that the TNF α and NO may play an important role in the pathogenesis of AR.
