Abstract
Network simulation is a novel technology to network planning,designing and analysing,which can verify the validity of the practical scheme and compare diverse network design schemes,so it provides a credible quantificational basis for network planning and designing.Aiming at the key problems in network simulation——traffic simulation and modelling,the traffic simulation and modelling mechanism of the OPNET,a network simulation software,are introduced,studied and analysed,the research on setting up a mathematical model for business prospective traffic of Email in network simulation is carried out.Finally,the simulation model is validated in simulation on the platform of OPNET network software.
