A Rethink about the Initiatives of Westernization Movement

Westernization Movement lasted for over 30 years from 30's to 60's in the nineteenth century.This was a phase during which imperialism was invading China day after day and society witnessed great changes.Astounded by the changes that had never been seenand the mighty enemies that had never been confronted with,Zhen Guo-fan,Li Hong-zhang,Zuo Zong-tang and those who were a westernization school actively introduced into military equipment and machinery production,learned strong points from westerners,captured what they had been backed and did their endeavour to put this idea into practice.Westernization movement was an embodiment of the practice.
