Observations on the Efficacy of Jin's Three-needle Therapy for Post-stroke Shoulder-hand Syndrome

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of Jin's three-needle therapy for post-stroke shoulder-hand syndrome.Methods Thirty patients with post-stroke shoulder-hand syndrome received Jin's three-needle therapy.Upper limb motor function,pain severity and the overall function were evaluated using the Simplified Fugl-Meyer Assessment(FMA),the Visual Analogue Scale(VAS),and the Functional Capacity Assessment(FCA) in the patients before and after treatment.The therapeutic effect on shoulder-hand syndrome was assessed after the treatment was finished.Results The total efficacy rate was 90.0% in the patients after treatment.There were statistically significant differences in upper limb motor function,pain severity and the overall function between before treatment and at 14 or 28 days after(P0.01).Conclusion Jin's three-needle therapy has a better effect on post-stroke shoulder-hand syndrome.
