Effects of Jin's three-needle acupuncture therapy combined with rehabilitation training in patients with shoulder-hand syndrome after stroke

Objective:To observe the effects of Jin's three-needle acupuncture therapy combined with rehabilitation training in patients with shoulder-hand syndrome(SHS) after stroke.Method:Sixty cases with SHS after stroke were randomized into two groups:30 cases in the treatment group and 30 cases in the control group.The treatment group was treated with Jin's three-needle acupuncture therapy combined with rehabilitation training,and the control group was treated with rehabilitation training only.The treatment course lasted for 28d.Before and after treatment,upper limb motor function,pain severity and comprehensive function were evaluated by simplified Fugl-Meyer assessment(FMA),visual analogue scale(VAS),and functional comprehensive assessment(FCA).Result:The upper limb motor function and comprehensive function of patients improved significantly,and pain severity alleviated significantly in both two groups after treatment(P0.01).In the treatment group the improvement was more significant than which in the control group(P0.01).Conclusion:Jin's three-needle acupuncture therapy combined with rehabilitation training has preferable effects on patients with SHS after stroke.
