Intertextuality and Heterogeneity in Media Discourse:A Critical Discourse Analysis of a CNN Report

Abstract

The analysis of news report from critical discourse analysis reveals that discourse representation,as a form of intertextuality exists evidently in the media discourse that balances the coexistence of heterogeneity of texts.Different voices represented in a media discourse are well blended and merged to convey the reporter's and those are reported,which also presents the influence of power and ideology made on discourse itself.
