Ningbo and Taoism Culture

Abstract

Ningbo enjoys a long religious tradition.It has a long history of Buddhism and Taoism.The Si-ming Mountain is a famous habitat of Taoism.Many Taoists including Ge Hong and Xu Ke-fu were exercising Taoism cultivation there and many Taoist temples were built during Tang and Song Dynasty.Taoism has a vast effect on society.A lot of scholars from eastern Zhejiang province have ties to Taoism and they are influenced by Taoism much.Taoism has been a part of Ningbo culture.Therefore,we should carry forward Taoism culture in the urbanization of Ningbo.
