Investigation and analysis of clinical nurses' coping styles in general hospital

Abstract
Objectives: To invetigate the clinical nurses' coping styles of stress,and provide the guidance evidence for nurses' psychological adjustment.Methods: 1100 clinical nurses were investigated and the data was analyzed with SPSS11.0 statistic software.Results: In 766 valid questionnaires,the scores of solving problems,seeking help,rationalization,fantasy and retreat were higher than those of norm,and the score of self-accusation was significantly lower than that of norm.Conclusion: Nurses' coping style mostly was positive coping,but had strong fantasy and negative coping style.It showed that clinical nurses should reduce the illusion and backoff behavior,adopt mature coping style,and improve the nurse's physical and mental health.
