Abstract
Objective To study the expression significance and correlation of nuclear factor κ kappa binding (NF-κB) and cyclin-depedent kinase (CDK) in human astrocytomas. Methods Fifty-four final diagnosis human astrocytoma (13 case of astrocytoma gradeⅠ, 16case of astrocytoma gradeⅡ, 14 case of astrocytoma gradeⅢ, 11case of astrocytoma grade Ⅳ). Normal brain tissues were from 10 case of internal decompression of brain trauma. The SP(Methods Streplavidin-Petvxidase) immunohistochemical staining method was used to examine the expression of NF-κBp 65 and CDK4 in 54 human astrocytoma and 10 Normal brain tissues, and statistics analyzed relationship with each other. Results The expression of NF-κBp65 and CDK4 was significantly different in distinct grade astrocytoma(P0.05). In the astrocytoma, There was relational between expression of NF-κBp65 and CDK4(r=0.5694, p=0.0010.05). Conclusions The expression of NF-κBp65 and CDK4 is closely related to the malignant degree of human astrocytoma. As the still deeper research of NF-κBp65 and CDK4 was accomplished, a new way which astrocytoma is treated by gene therapy will be found.
