"Middle Class" Theoretical Comparison of Wright and Marx

Abstract

Wright,an important representative of analytic Marxism,puts forward the middle class theory,thinking that in capitalist society there exists no polarization trend.Marx holds that in the capitalist society there is a middle class which eventually will be the proletariat.The capitalist society is a society in which the proletariat is opposite to the bourgeoisie.The content of Wright and Marx's middle class theory is analyzed and compared,through which,Wright and Marx's middle class theory can be understood more accurately,and more suitable social development policies are discussed for the present according to the fact that China is in the primary stage now to better promote the stability and the development of the society.
