Review of the Understanding of Oral History

In nearly half a century development,some problems have gradually highlighted in the research and application of oral history in China,mainly showing in the understanding of oral history it self.This paper expounds the basic concepts and functions of oral history,analyzes the nature and features of oral history,discusses the differences and similarities between oral history and interview,introduces the development status of oral history in China,and points out the applicable scope of oral history.
