Abstract
Foucault put forward the concept of discourse on the basis of Saussure's structural linguistics.As his philosophy gradually evolves,discourse is established as the core concept.First,discourse is based on the spatial configuration of episteme that take heterotopias as the outset.Second,discourse is composed of practical statement.Third,source,discontinuity and discreteness are the fundamentals of discourse.The concept of discourse fully reveals Foucault's anti-traditional historical conception and rejection of western modern civilization.
