Abstract

An ICP-AES method with standard addition calibration was applied to the determination of micro- amounts of hafnium in Zr-U alloy.Hafnium was determined in the concentration range of 50-400μg·g~(-1) in the presence of 8 g·L~(-1) of zirconium.Under this condition, tests for recovery were made by addition of 50μg·g~(-1) and 400μg·g~(-1) of hafnium to a Zr-U alloy, and values of recovery obtained were 106% and 101%,and values of RSD's(n=6)found were 5.8% and 3.7% respectively.
