Abstract
Objective To evaluate and expound the application of CT guide positioning in rdiofregueney thermocoagulation which we have used to treat trigenimal neuralgia for five years. Methods Here 403 postoperative cases were followed up. Parameters such as mainly contain the rate of relief pain and pain recurrence, incidence rate of complications and facial numbness were analysed. Results Amony 403 patients, the postoperative successful rate was 100%, immediate relief rate of pain was 99.3%, short-term relief rate in two years was 97.5% and recurrent rate was 2.48%; the long-term relief rate in after two years was 92.1% and recurrent rate was 7.85%; The total relief rate was 94.3% and recurrent rate was 5.7%. The incidence of complications was 7.4% (corneal anesthesia 2.2%) and facial numbness was 98.2%. Conclusion Under CT-guide positioning, the puncture technique through the foramen ovale needs no only depend on experience. CT can greatly increase the successful rate and decrease the incidence of postoperative complications.
