Abstract
Objective To evaluate the middle and long term efficacy of radiofrequency thermocoagulation locating by function combined with CT for treatment of trigeminal neuralgia. Methods There were 60 patients with trigeminal neuralgia were enrolled in the study. The radiofrequency thermocoagulation was performed with function combined with CT location. The postoperative recurrence rate, surgical complications and efficacy were observed after 1 months,6 months,12 months and 18 months of operation. Results The effective rates after 1 months and 18 months of operation were 96.67%(58/60)and 98.33%(59/60)respectively.The proportions of patients with surgical complications after 1 month and 18 months of operation were 55.00%(33/60)and 15.00%(9/60)respectively.The main complication was facial hypoesthesia. The postoperative recurrence rate after 18 months of operation was 6.67%.Conclusion The radiofrequency thermocoagulation locating by fune tion combined with CT could significantly increase the puncture accuracy, reduce the operating time, enhance patients endurance, and improve therapeutic efficacy for treatment of trigeminal neuralgia.
