Ecological Efficiency of Developing Circular Economy during 2001-2010 in Hunan Province

Abstract
On the base of the essentials of circular economy and the connotations of eco-efficiency,an eco-efficiency index system for assessing the circular economy of Hunan Province is established with reference to local and international researches.By using the established index system,variations in the economy and eco-efficiency for the period from 2001 to 2010 are analyzed.Then by the use of eco-efficiency analysis model,the paper calculates the resource efficiency,environmental efficiency and environmental efficiency,and evaluates the eco-efficiency and evolution trends of Hunan Province during 10 years according to the data of Hunan Province from 2001 to 2010 and using the method of principle componential analyses.The results indicate that Hunan provincial GDP achieves a high and rapid growth during the last 10 years.The resource efficiency and environmental efficiency of Hunan Province has improved and eco-efficiency increased by1.32 times.Concurrently eco-efficiency indicators display different changing laws.
