Abstract
For the study on kinetics of acid gas absorption with a solution of a physical absorbent and a chemical absorbent, an experimental facility with a computer- aided data acquisition method was used to measure kinetic data for the absorption of carbon dioxide with the component solvent solution of MDEA, sulfolane and water . The results indicate that the apparent absorption rate constant decreases with the increased concentration of sulfolane when the concentration for MDEA is fixed. The main reason is the decrease of the diffusion coefficient due to the increase of the solution viscosity.
