Develop Circular Economy and construct environment-friendly city——Circular Economy research under the Wenzhou Pattern

As a sort of economic development pattern which focuses on the integrative consideration of economic benefit and ecological benefit, Circular Economy is one of main approaches to alleviate the conflict between economic development and eco-environment protection so as to civilize sustainable development. Being the cradle land of market economy, Wenzhou is coming into new stage of constructing prosperous Well-off Society and basically civilizing Modernization in advance. Whereas, accompanied by the rapid economic development in Wenzhou, it also engenders severe destruction on the city's eco-environment. Many problems such as energy shortage, available resource scarcity, severe urban pollution and urbanization lag, pose negative impacts on Wenzhou's future sustainable development in economy and society. Therefore, it's the preconditioning foundation for Wenzhou's rapid, steady, healthy development to develop Circular Economy and construct environment-friendly city. This paper analyzes Wenzhou's current resource and environment condition and economic development background under the Wenzhou Pattern. It also put forward the imminence of developing Circular Economy and the corresponding development thought so as to make great efforts to bring into existence the Wenzhou Pattern which embody the harmonious development of economic benefit and eco-environment.
