Abstract
Historically it is well accepted that the male vault can be seen as the superior event for the Chinese gymnastics team and have conducted a great number of excellent achievement in the decades. However the failure of the 28th Olympic Games indicates that the Chinese superior situation in the event of the male vault was challenged. It is found that the gymnasts from other countries have achieved great improvement in the level of the action difficulties. Based on the statistics and analysis on the gymnastics competition of the 28th Olympic Games, this research provides a extensive and profound analysis of the male vault competition with the purpose of probing the existed problems in the event of male vault.
